“The Ultimate Speed Demon: Lamborghini’s Debut Hybrid Supercar Set to Break Records”

The Lamborghini Sián is an impressive hybrid supercar that has been produced by the renowned Italian automaker. It has an electric powertrain and is touted as the fastest Lamborghini ever made. This amazing vehicle was recently revealed prior to the Frankfurt Motor Show 2019, and it is the first hybrid model to be manufactured by Lamborghini.

Lamborghini’s latest hybrid model boasts an impressive 785 horsepower V12 engine accompanied by a 34 horsepower electric motor. When combined, the hybrid generates an impressive 819 horsepower (602 kilowatts) of thermal and electric power. As per Lamborghini, this makes it the most powerful vehicle the company has ever manufactured.

Lamborghini has previously showcased conceptual electric sports cars like the Terzo Millennio, but their new hybrid car is a big leap towards electrification. According to Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali, the Sián not only boasts an impressive hyper-car design and engineering feat, but also paves the way for Lamborghini to establish itself as a leading super sports car brand in the future. With hybridization becoming more necessary and attractive, the Sián is just the beginning of Lamborghini’s journey towards electrification and the advancement of their next-generation V12 engine.

The Sián boasts a groundbreaking innovation in hybrid technology – the world’s first utilization of a supercapacitor. This cutting-edge component can store an impressive 10 times more power than a standard lithium-ion battery and is located in the bulkhead area between the cockpit and engine. Despite its small size, the supercapacitor is three times more powerful than a battery of equivalent weight and three times lighter than a battery that produces the same amount of energy. With a mere weight of 34 kilograms, the Sián boasts impressive acceleration, reaching zero to 62 miles per hour in under 2.8 seconds, which gives it the lowest ever weight-to-power ratio in the Lamborghini V12 family.

The Lamborghini Sián is one speedy vehicle, clocking in at more than 217 miles per hour. No wonder it’s named “Sián,” which means “flash” or “lightning” in the Bolognese dialect. Additionally, this car comes equipped with a unique regenerative braking system that charges its energy storage system every time the brakes are applied.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic Lamborghini Countach, the Sián model adopts a futuristic design with sharp and sculpted lines. Its sleek form is uncluttered but incorporates unique features like its signature aero wings. At the back, the vehicle retains Lamborghini’s trademark hexagonal design, which includes six taillights inspired by the Countach.

The vehicle’s front design boasts a sleek appearance with a carbon fibre splitter built into the bumper. The Y-shaped headlights were inspired by the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio. The car features efficient aerodynamics with airflow directed through the front splitters, bonnet, side air intakes and outlets, and rear spoiler. Furthermore, the car has active cooling vanes at the rear that respond to temperature changes from the exhaust system. These vanes rotate to cool the car down and improve its performance.

Lamborghini is creating a special run of only 63 cars for the Sián model, in tribute to their establishment in 1963. Each of the limited edition vehicles will have a unique style crafted by its owner. Mitja Borkert, head of design at Lamborghini, stated that the new car must be both visually stunning and sonically impressive to make an impact on onlookers and drivers alike.

According to Borkert, the Sián is a futuristic masterpiece that draws inspiration from the Countach. He emphasized that every one of the 63 Sián owners will have the privilege of unleashing their personal creativity through total Ad Personam personalization. This unique opportunity allows for a one-of-a-kind Lamborghini that is not only the fastest but also exclusive to the owner.
